Toyota's Payment Analysis Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated AP Accounting Senior Analyst .
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure month-end close and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls are completed timely and accurately.
Reporting to the AP Accounting Manager, the person in this role will support the AP Accounting department's objective to support department & division goals and perform core accounting functions to achieve monthly deliverables.
What you'll be doing
- Analyze, prepare, and record key monthly and quarterly journal entries for payables to ensure that the general ledger is accurate, and entries are recorded in a timely manner.
- Prepare and present to management monthly financial analysis covering account fluctuation analysis and other ad hoc analysis requests.
- Prepare account reconciliations and supporting documentation for key SOX and internal controls.
- Work closely with key manufacturing plants and divisions to provide general ledger support as needed.
- Responsible for working closely with external auditors to support quarterly / annual financial and SOX audits by providing supporting schedules and responding to audit inquiries and ad hoc requests.
- Promote identification, development, and implementation of process improvements to support controls and efficiencies over accounting processes.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- CPA with SOX and Audit experience.
- Accounting and Finance functional experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong skills in taking the initiative to lead continuous improvement efforts and change management.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to close process gaps and resolve issues.
- Proven analytical, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, high accuracy, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-based, and collaborative environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

- Experience with Ariba
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Analysis skills
