The Development Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the coordination and integration of various teams and processes within a development environment.
This role combines elements of project management, software development methodologies and infrastructure management to ensure smooth and efficient operations throughout the development lifecycle.
In coordination with the Director of Development, the Development Operations Manager is responsible for optimizing workflows, implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement to achieve organizational goals.

Status : Exempt Salaried
Salary : $42,000-$48,000
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Management : Lead logistics of fundraising project planning, execution and delivery efforts, ensuring projects are completed on time.
- Internal Development Department Liaison : Serve as leader for all inter-departmental project planning with key stakeholders to prioritize tasks and allocate resources.
- Fundraising Stakeholder Communication : Facilitate communication and collaboration between development teams and key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones and risks.
- Assure integrity of data and records, deleting duplicate records, appropriate coding, etc.
- Maintain orderly internal electronic files for historical reference of all financial transactions and donor correspondence.
- Ensure accurate processing of all gifts, pledges, pledge payments, and in-kind donations in collaboration with the Finance Department.
- Generate pledge agreements, track open pledges, pledge payments and past-due commitments with the Director of Development and Finance Department.
- Handle confidential donor / constituency information with sensitivity and integrity.
- Ensure proper recording and maintenance of donor and participant information within the Development Department and across the organization.
- Fulfill report requests from Development Department, Finance Department and Senior Leadership as needed.
- Assist the Development Department with the execution of annual member solicitations, billing, and membership benefit fulfillment.
- Assist Development Team with special events and fundraising events.
- Assume other administrative duties and fundraising activities for the Development Department as directed by the Director of Development.
- Keep informed of current organization news, exhibitions, programs and events.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in arts, humanities or related field.
- Proven experience in nonprofit development, with at least two (2) years of experience in a development operations or project management role.
- Strong understanding of constituent data management systems, preferably with Altru and / or Tessitura software.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Asana.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
