The Electro-Optical Engineer will provide support to fiber-laser-based, high-energy laser development efforts and other laser development efforts to support laser-based sensor systems.
This support will include, but not limited to, laser construction, experimentation, and laser characterization under supervision of technical staff.
Must Have :
- Characterization of kW-class fiber amplifiers (PER, beam quality, power, and phase noise)
- Assembly, Integration, and Alignment of Developmental High-Power Lasers and Laser Systems
- Fiber Laser / Fiber Amplifier
- High Power Laser Systems (?1kW, or some limit)
- Laser Characterization & Documentation (Power, Beam Quality, Wavelength & Temporal Waveform)
- Specifying Optics and other Components for Research and Development Laser Systems
- Use of Lasers, Optics, and / or Optical Fiber
- Fiber and Optical Routing
- Polarized Light in SM and PM fibers
