Position Overview : The Extended Care Program Monitor will work directly with a group of 30 + students grade K to 5. to design, coordinate and deliver our school’s after-school program.

The Extended Care Program provides a safe, fun and caring environment for our students and acts as an extension of the school day.

Schedule : The position available during the school year is for approximately 30 hours per week. Lunch : 11 : 00 - 1 : 00 Recesses : 1 : 30p - 2 : 30p After-school : 3 : 00 - 6 : 00 The monitor will be working full time during our week long school breaks : October 7 th 11th February 17 th 21st April 4 th 11th Key responsibilities : Active supervision of children indoor and outdoor Plan activities (sports, arts and crafts ) with co-workers Communication with parents and staff Oversee schedules, arrival / dismissal of students Resolve any conflicts by implementing social emotional learning Set up, take down and clean up to ensure overall cleanliness of space Qualifications : Enthusiastic, fast learner, proactive Team-worker with strong communication skills Experience working and developing age appropriate activities with children ages 5-10 preferred but not required Fluency in French is a plus but not required Eligible to work in the US We offer $22 / hr and a dynamic work environment.
