Machine Grinder

PrideStaff, a national staffing company, is seeking an experienced general warehouse worker. We have several clients in the Birmingham area that are looking to add experienced warehouse workers to their teams.

This position is responsible for set up and operation in a production environment. Candidate will have the opportunity to operate equipment and produce output in a safe and efficient manner according to established specifications and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ability to operate a hand and machine grinder.
• To read and understand work orders and fill out correctly
• Use all tools effectively associated with performing duties including reading tape measures, calipers, etc.
• To operate a hand grinder
• To stand stationary for 8-12 hrs
• Load and unload incoming trucks
• Work safely and adhere to safety rules and procedures at all times.
• Miscellaneous duties as necessary

Requirements :

• One year or more of recent and relevant experience in warehouse general labor.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Overtime is mandatory and must be able to work Saturdays as needed.
• Have a positive attitude, a passion to work hard individually and as a team member, and ability to show up on time daily.
• Ability to work Monday - Friday 7am-3 : 30pm
• Temporary to hire.
• $17 / hr.
