MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is seeking a motivated PRN Advanced Practice Providers to join our Neurocritical Care Unit (NCCU) unit.
In conjunction with a Neuro intensivist, our Advanced Practice Providers directly manage patients in a 15-bed, high-complexity, level 1 NCCU.
The hospital is currently a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center and has applied for Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification.
The APP participates in bedside procedures including central line placement, comprehensive bedside ultrasound, arterial line placement, endotracheal intubation, dialysis catheter insertion, chest tube insertion, lumbar punctures, and EVD maintenance.
Additionally, the Advanced Practice Providers lead our Rapid & Sepsis Response Teams, providing emergent bedside analysis & coordination of care throughout the hospital setting.
Schedule : PRN with at least one shift in 6 months
Education / Licensure : current BLS / ACLS certification. Successful completion of an approved Physician Assistant program, board certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and registered / certified by Maryland Board of Physicians (MD BOP.
Graduate of an accredited acute care NP program and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
Qualifications :
One year of hospital medicine preferred, ideally within a Critical Care, or Neurocritical Care setting, with experience in advanced procedures; new graduates may apply.

The pay range for this position is between $80-$90 / HR.
