We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-experienced Senior Lease Accountant to join our team. This is a hybrid role, combining the responsibilities of a traditional lease accountant with the added challenge of senior-level tasks.

The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of lease accounting, from initial recording and classification to final settlement.

This role will be a key player in our financial team, contributing to our financial reporting, auditing, forecasting, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities :

The Senior Lease Accountant will be responsible for :

1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of lease accounting, including the initial recording, classification, and final settlement of leases.

2. Ensuring accurate and timely monthly financial close process related to lease accounting.

3. Performing complex financial analysis related to leases, providing insights and recommendations to management.

4. Preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

5. Participating in audits, both internal and external, related to lease accounting.

6. Assisting in the forecasting and budgeting process, specifically related to leases.

7. Managing the intercompany accounting process, ensuring accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of transactions.

8. Continuously improving processes and controls related to lease accounting.

9. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Senior Lease Accountant position should possess the following qualifications :

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in lease accounting or a related field, with a proven track record of managing complex financial tasks.

3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, particularly related to lease accounting.

4. Experience with financial reporting, auditing, forecasting, and general ledger management.

5. Proficiency in financial analysis, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights.

6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

8. Proficiency in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications.

9. A team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
