Our client, a boutique professional services firm in Fairfield County, Connecticut, is seeking a skilled and hands on HR Business Partner with 5 years or more of related HR experience as a business partner.
Reporting into a dynamic Sr HR Business Partner, this key additional hire will :
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle, from hiring to departure, and all touchpoints in between. Solid onboarding and offboarding experience are required.
- Oversee all HR inquiries via HR distribution list / ticketing, ensuring timely responses and accurate assignment of tasks when unable to complete requests personally.
- Handle issues of compliance, taking a proactive approach and fostering a solid knowledge base in this area.
- Administer all employee changes and transfers, ensuring proper documentation and coordination with payroll.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of employee onboarding and separations. Update onboarding and separations procedures and guides as needed and maintain company handbook
- Responsible for HRIS and employee file administration across all entities, including home page management.
- Conduct weekly HR office hours and coach and consult with managers and employees on issues affecting morale, performance, and development, determining root causes and recommending appropriate strategies.
- Assist with day-to-day employee engagement and relations below senior leadership.
- Oversee employee performance improvement, manage performance improvement plans, assist managers with monitoring progress, and develop programming for employee check-ins (30, 60, 90 days, 1-year, and exit surveys).
- Research, draft, and interpret company policies and the employee handbook.
- Handle special projects as needed, including annual reviews administration and preparation of annual bonus sheets and compensation statements.
- Manage I9s and other documentation.
This position will require 3 days per week in-office in their Connecticut location. The ideal hire will possess strong presentation skills and enjoy interacting and influencing at the leadership level, while being close to all staff.

The salary will range to 135K depending on experience and the firm offers a bonus and excellent benefits.
