Grooming, including washing, clipping, de-tangling and de-matting fur, with knowledge of breed specific and unique styling.
Commission- based position within the spa, a successful candidate for this position will be someone who is passionate, personable, and professional.
Also a person who is willing to be a team player, that can take directions, and self motivated.
Most importantly, candidates should have experience grooming or bathing all breeds of dogs.
Primary responsibilities are to ensure that all pets in your care receive a groom that meets or exceeds the client's request without compromising the physical and emotional health of the pet.
Lifting with assistance as needed anywhere from 10lbs - 160lbs on a daily bases.
Nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and skin checks are necessary to perform on each client.
Keeping a calm and positive attitude around the animals to insure they're comfortable in the salon.
Working in the front lobby, this will include but not limited to greeting guests, answering the phone when needed, and help with scheduling appointments.
Meet with grooming clients whenever possible to discuss grooming instructions after accessing the dog's coat and condition.
Cleaning and disinfecting : All hair must be swept off floor in a timely manner.
Bathing and drying areas must be cleaned before leaving each day.
Maintain a sanitary work station with provided disinfectants.
Properly maintain all grooming tools to ensure quality of grooms.
Check equipment on a regular basis to ensure it is not hazardous to guests.
Notify manager if supplies are needed (bandanna, shampoos, etc.)
