Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist
KBR is seeking a Billing Specialist with experience and background in government and commercial invoicing to join the KBR Shared Services Accounts Receivable (AR) Department as a Billing Specialist specifically supporting the National Security Solutions Business Unit.
The Accounts Receivable team partners with project control analysts to complete the invoicing process for all contract types (Fixed Price, T&M, Cost Plus) across functions providing support services necessary for smooth and safe base operations around the world.
This mostly remote role requires in-office support once-a-week, typically on Tuesdays.
Duties / Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following :
- Preparation and consistency of accounts with payable / receivable transactions, billing, and payroll disbursements in regard to banking
- Responds to customer inquiries and ensures accurate data entry procedures
- Under direct supervision, works within a function to complete defined tasks in accordance with standard procedures requiring some problem recognition skills
- Supports general business operations by providing administrative support activities, such as data entry, reporting, correspondence, and basic analysis requiring attention to detail
- The Billing Specialist will generate cost reimbursable, time and material, and firm fixed price invoices and submit invoices electronically using multiple customer systems.
- The Billing Specialist would be responsible for reconciling labor for 3rd Party Timekeeping projects.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years relevant professional experience
- Effective oral and written communications skills
Desired Qualifications
- BS degree in Accounting or a related field or in lieu of degree, minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint Accounting Software
