Requirements :
- Masters Level Degree in Education for Visually Impaired Student s
- Must hold an active State license in Visual Education
- Braille : Letters, symbols, numbers
- Nemeth Braille : used for math class, add on to the Braille already used
- VOCO : Must have a State teaching Certification and 2 years of school's experience

- Teachesstudents who are blind, going blind, have limited sight, or have another visual impairment, they teach Core Curriculum, braille Skills, and Independent Living Strategies
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other school professionals to adapt and modify curriculum materials, classroom environments, and teaching strategies to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for students with visual impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs, providing specialized instruction in areas such as braille literacy, use of assistive technology, and orientation and mobility skills.
- Assist in transition planning for students moving between educational settings or preparing for post-secondary education, vocational training, or employment, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed for success.
