Job Summary :
The Kentucky Transportation Center (KTC) seeks applicants for a Research Engineer III position in the Pavement, Materials, Geotechnical, and Infrastructure Assessment Group (PMGIA).
Prospective applicants should be interested in multidisciplinary transportation research and working on a broad range of topics.
Research foci include pavement design and preservation strategies; roadway forensic analysis; highway drainage assessment;
geotechnical investigation; and remote sensing with mobile and stationary LiDAR.
Prospective applicants should have at least four (4) years of research experience in one or more of the areas listed above.
The Research Engineer III may supervise one or more engineers, research scientists, or technicians, and must have demonstrated abilities in planning, scoping, and managing complex research projects.
The Engineer III is expected to assist program managers and KTC leadership with building lasting partnerships with our clients, transportation organizations, and agencies.
Candidates with less research experience or knowledge outside of the areas listed above may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
