Responsibilities
- Creates, develops, and tests compounds and formulas used in products, exercising professional judgment in the evaluation, selection, and modification of applied methods and techniques
- Identifies and recommends improvements to the manufacturing process
- Drafts and distributes laboratory reports
- Operates, maintains, and tests laboratory equipment. Responsible for proactively managing maintenance tasks and arranging repair services when necessary
- Drafts standard operating procedures and safety materials
- Purchases lab supplies, including equipment, and manages relationships with vendors
- Conducts lab tests to validate the effectiveness of a product
- Manufactures the product
- Ensures compliance with environmental health and safety standards, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical agents
- Reviews monthly inventory of chemical supplies and equipment
- In charge of research and development of new chemical products with potential use in business
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field required
- Masters degree preferred
Years of experience : At least five years of related work experience required

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
