Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of a Road and Bridge construction Superintendent in the VA Beach, Suffolk, VA area, or willing to travel.
Heavy Civil Superintendent Compensation & Benefits :
Annual Salary for the Road and Bridge Superintendent is $120,000 per year, and total compensation including benefits, PTO, bonus, allowances and per diem, far exceed the stated salary.

Senior Superintendent Duties & Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the oversight of all field operations and activities on a project ensuring the safety, quality, and contract compliance of the subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are within budget and schedule.
- Oversee project sequencing and job site logistics.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, update monthly.
- Understand of overall contract requirements and subcontracts.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and programs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction at final delivery of project.
Senior Superintendent Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, engineering, Architecture, or similar field is preferred but not required.
- 7+ years’ experience preferred as a lead superintendent role overseeing heavy highway, roadway construction, bridge construction, and related scopes to include paving and utilities.
- Experience with new construction project from start to finish.
- Project experience of a minimum of $15M+
- OSHA 30.
- Excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer Applications Experience : Microsoft Office Applications - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Contract Manager Software : Primavera Project Planning (P6) or Primavera SureTrak, Procore,
- Ability to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines.
- Must have stable work history.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
