Responsibilities Work in a hospital Med / Surg Telemetry unit with mixed acuity including PCU and MS patients Night shifts are 3x12 hours from 19 : 00 to 7 : 30 Patient ratio is typically 1 : 5 Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity No set schedule or designated weekends, full flexibility required Uses Epic for charting and proficiency is required First week includes orientation Monday through Friday on dayshift, followed by 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor Team supports self-schedule requests, but the facility determines final schedule Must be available for fingerprinting and compliance processes as required by Ohio regulations Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers Former employees eligible if away for 6 months or more; current employees of the health system are not eligible All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to contract Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required BCLS certification required Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and tracheostomy management required Epic EMR experience required Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, supervisor, or charge RN Previous travel experience and oncology experience preferred but not required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-610822.
