Job Description
Coffman Engineers is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our Spokane Office. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player, looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm.
We are looking for someone who works effectively with all personality types, is interested in being a mentor to junior engineers, and who desires to grow professionally and stay involved in the activities and exciting trends in the industry.
We work in tight-knit teams that support each other and are managed with a healthy work-life balance that is focused on development and caring for the whole person.
This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
Qualifications
- A four-year degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related field
- Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering (preferred)
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) with Structural Engineer (SE) preferred.
- Seven to ten years of experience in the structural design of buildings or similar structures
- Experience with computer software programs and analysis systems (such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, RAM, Mathcad, Enercalc, ETABS, etc.)
- Design experience with various materials steel and concrete; masonry, wood and light gauge (preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with the International Building Code (IBC) and US design standards
- Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills
- Experience and ability to maintain working relationships with clients
- Experience as a project manager (preferred)
- Experience working as part of a multi-discipline team (preferred)
Expected annual salary $100,000-$115,000.
