UCT is looking for a talented Planning Supervisor to join us in Austin, TX!

Job Summary :

Supervise team of production planners and schedulers to ensure all production requirements needed to meet customer requirements are completed on time.

Manage functions associated with the generation and maintenance of production plans and master production schedules. Drive reconciliation of production / material conflicts.

Own the optimization of production schedules and manage WIP inventory consistent with company goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Supervises all production planning and scheduling functions for assigned production line(s)
• Reviews and approves optimized production plans to be loaded.
• Present RCCP and S&OP to upper management
• Manages and drives improvement on KPIs related to production planning and scheduling.
• Escalation point of contact for all production planning and scheduling related issues
• Builds positive relationships with cross-functional teams in a quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment.
• Works closely with engineering, quality, purchasing, and other operations staff to ensure functional specs are met, parts are available as needed, and quality is maintained.
• May interface with customers to schedule deliveries or discuss issues.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; engineering BOM reading skills.
• Strong organization skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal customers / suppliers.
• Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Office software suites.
• Meeting management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of MRP / ERP applications

Educational / Certification Requirement :

• BA / BS degree in business administration, operations management, or equivalent experience
• CPIM / CIRM certification a plus

Experience Requirement :

• 7+ years production planning / operations experience with working knowledge of quick-turn, low volume, engineer-to-order production environment
• 5+ years as a direct Manager / Supervisor of people
• 3+ years of experience using advanced planning tools such as Kinaxis, APO or ASCP strongly preferred.

• Ability to stand for sustained periods of time

• Ability to lift over 25 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to sit for sustained periods of time.
• Ability to Talk on phone and use computer for extended periods of time may be required.

Environmental Exposure :

• Subject to frequent interruptions
• Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
• May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computer etc.

Overnight Travel :

Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting)
