Paraprofessional / Teacher's Assistant

Our client is seeking School based Bilingual (Spanish / English) Teacher’s Assistants / Paraprofessionals for the Trenton area schools! IMMEDIATE interviews and FAST STARTS.

SUMMARY OF THIS OPPORTUNITY :

• Provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; facilitating personal growth and relationship building.
• Ensure a pleasant experience for the Individuals in a quality program.
• Encourage personal skill development by showing, teaching, talking, and coaching in a 1 : 1 setting.
• Encourage Individuals to develop and maintain relationships with housemates, friends, family, and significant others.
• Provide opportunities for Individuals to learn decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Complete daily log book process, and relay feedback to the Program Coordinator.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION :

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Experience working as a school-based paraprofessional / Teacher’s Assistant.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with others.
