Pet Emergency Clinic of Pitt County

Pet Emergency Clinic is an extension of your general practice veterinarian’s office. When they are closed, we are open. This includes overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Our team of dedicated and experienced emergency and critical care focused veterinarians is available to help your family during times your daytime veterinarian is closed.

Whether your dog has a cut paw or has endured life-threatening trauma, we are prepared to help your family with its emergency veterinary care needs.

Emergency Veterinary Care is available :

• Overnights : Monday Thursday 6 : 00 pm 8 : 00 am
• Weekends : We are open 24 hours Friday 6 : 00 pm Monday 8 : 00 am
• Holidays : We are open 24 hours during all major holidays

We are hiring a part-time experienced Veterinary Receptionist for every other weekend

Primary responsibilities and skills desired include :

• Greeting and interacting with clients in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
• Receiving and managing incoming calls on a multi-line phone system
• Accommodating client needs with a culture of saying yes
• Scheduling patients for appointments in accordance with hospital scheduling guidelines
• Obtaining medical and other information from referring veterinarians when needed
• Receiving deposits and payments and explaining payment options to clients
• Balancing the cash drawer / keeping the daily report up to date
• Entering client communication into Cornerstone Software
• Communicating efficiently with a staff member to organize case flow
• Cleaning duties of the lobby, reception area, restroom, and parking lot

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift patients with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat most of the workday
