Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a kindergarten student in an elementary school setting. This is a contract assignment for the academic year, located in Waynesville, NC. The role involves providing one-on-one interpreting services to facilitate effective munication and support the students learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Minimum EIPA score of 3.0 or higher
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience interpreting in educational settings, preferably with young children
• Ability to work one-on-one with students
• Strong understanding of the role and responsibilities of an interpreter in a classroom environment
