Position Title : Business Analyst - Enterprise IT Governance.

The Enterprise IT Governance team is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to support the development and implementation of IT governance frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
This role requires familiarity with agile methodologies to ensure that IT initiatives are effectively aligned with organizational goals and compliance.
The Business Analyst will work directly in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).
This is a HYBRID role with on-site work in Washington D.C.
Responsibilities :
- Requirements Gathering : Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements related to IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Policy Development : Lead the creation and documentation of IT governance policies that reflect best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) : Develop and maintain comprehensive SOPs that guide stakeholders in the effective implementation of governance policies.
- Agile Methodology : Apply agile principles to project management and process improvement, facilitating iterative development and continuous feedback within governance initiatives.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for enhancing IT governance processes, recommending agile-driven solutions that foster efficiency and adaptability.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Act as a liaison between IT governance teams and business units, ensuring alignment of IT initiatives with strategic organizational objectives.
- Data Analysis : Analyze data related to IT governance metrics, compliance reports, and risk assessments to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Documentation : Ensure all documentation, including business requirements documents, process flows, policies, and SOPs, is clear, accessible, and maintained for accuracy.
- Change Management Support : Assist in change management efforts by communicating the impact of governance initiatives and fostering stakeholder buy-in.
- Training and Support : Develop training materials and conduct sessions to educate staff on IT governance processes, policies, and best practices, with a focus on agile methodologies.
- Monitoring and Reporting : Monitor compliance with governance policies and procedures, preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements :
- Policy Development Experience : Proven experience in developing IT governance policies and standard operating procedures.
- Familiarity with Agile Methodologies : Experience working in agile environments, with a strong understanding of agile principles and practices and Jira.
- Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Technical Skills : Familiarity with IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) and tools for requirements management and data analysis.
- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Interpersonal Skills : Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and relationship-building across various levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Certified Scrum Master, Certified Product Owner, Scale Agile Framework Training / Certifications
- Government Contracting Experience
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices
Education and Required Experience :
- Education : Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field.
- Years of Experience : Minimum of 4 years as a Business Analyst, preferably in IT governance, risk management, or compliance environments.
Salary Range :
$130k to $145k DOE
