POSITION OVERVIEW
Head of Wholesale a is a strategic and results-oriented position to spearhead our revenue growth through wholesale channels.
The ideal candidate will possess a successful track record in sales leadership within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry, particularly in skincare and beauty.
This role will oversee our wholesale team and drive omni-channel sales strategies, including TV shopping, specialty retail partnerships, and independent accounts.
Reporting directly to the Founder / Chief Executive Officer, this pivotal role will play a key part in shaping our wholesale business strategy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute comprehensive, margin-enhancing sales strategies to achieve short- and long-term growth targets
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of sales leaders, providing strategic direction, support, and guidance to achieve business objectives
- Continuously optimize segmentation and allocation strategies to drive sustained growth and expand market share.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, creative, and planning teams to align on annual business plans for strategic customers.
- Strategically expand market share across categories and classifications in alignment with brand initiatives.
- Analyze sales data, competitive landscape, and market trends to identify new growth opportunities and optimize existing business performance.
- Cultivate and nurture strong strategic account relationships to maximize sales potential and strengthen partnerships.
- Foster a data-driven mindset across the sales organization, leveraging insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners to drive sales opportunities and enhance brand visibility.
- Implement strategies that support the needs of sales teams, operations, and resources to achieve profitable growth.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates and insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with finance to analyze P&L by channel and identify revenue and profit improvement opportunities.
- Explore new distribution opportunities in alignment with brand vision and channel priorities.
- Work closely with marketing to devise innovative marketing strategies and initiatives to increase product visibility and drive productivity.
- Identify and capitalize on sales growth opportunities, participating in negotiations to secure strategic partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have experience managing off-price and mass retailers such as TJX, Ross, Burlington, Saks off 5th, Bloomingdales Outlet, as well as Costco, and Military
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in wholesale roles within the consumer goods industry, with a focus on beauty and skincare.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and developing long-term strategic plans for wholesale expansion.
