The Bryant Park Hotel (currently ranked #1 on Tripadvisor in New York) has a wonderful opportunity for a Bar Manager .
We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual with bar / lounge experience for our bar, the beautiful Celon Lounge.
The Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations with a primary focus on driving sales growth and service standards.
Essential functions of the position include but are not limited.
- Directs and organizes the activities of the Celon and Events to maintain the high standard of food and beverage quality and service
- Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food and Beverage operation to meet the daily needs of the operation including schedule, limited payroll, beverage purchasing and designing creative cocktail menus.
- Implements effective controls of beverage and labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. You must also hold a food safety permit.
- Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules, and evaluates staff.
- Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the establishment.
- Highly organized with excellent communication skills
- Works with our Director of Events to drive Sales and Events
- Anticipate and accommodate needs of the guests.
- In depth knowledge of beverage menus and trends
- Attends BEO meetings and organizes any food and beverage requirements.
- Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.
- Regulates all POS functions and keeps all menus up to date in Micros.
- Responsible for reconciling end of shift financials
- Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
- Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members.
- Must be present on the floor always engaging with team and guests during service.
