A machine shop cleaning technician plays a vital role in maintaining the sanitation and
organization of an industrial work environment. This helps to ensure the safety and
efficiency of our workplace. We're currently seeking a hardworking and self-motivated
individual to fill this position.
Responsibilities :
Clean machinery, workbenches, and floors by removing metal shavings, excess coolant,
and machinery oils.
- Safely dispose of waste materials.
- Clean and organize shop tools, work-holding equipment, and lifting equipment.
- Assist with maintenance of machine tools and associated equipment.
- Visually inspect machinery and shop equipment to help identify potential problems while
performing cleaning duties.
- Help support shipping and receiving department.
- Adhere to safety procedures.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have strong verbal communication skills
- Experience working in an industrial environment.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Must be able to work in a variety of positions including but not limited to standing,
stretching, bending, kneeling, and laying.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working in a machine / fabrication shop.
- Experience using overhead cranes.
- Forklift certification
- Experience using hand tools such as angle grinders, die grinders, and saws.
