We are DSA Doors , a leading wood door manufacturer headquartered in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a talented and motivated Quality Assurance Supervisor .

In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in supporting and continuously improving our quality systems across the entire production cycle, from the quality of incoming raw materials to the quality of outgoing finished products.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify, evaluate, propose, and implement corrective and preventive actions while documenting the process and verifying the results.
  • Contributes to product and process enhancements for new R&D products inspection and testing as well as during sustaining engineering of residential products.
  • Conduct product quality assessments and inspections to identify defects and deviations from established quality standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Lead / collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee the Quality department staff to troubleshoot and analyze problems and defects.
  • Lead and facilitate the development of quality-related documentation, such as standard operating procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
  • Perform risk assessments and assist in the development of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics, providing regular reports to management noting trends, recommending areas of focus, improvement strategies, and potential standard work changes as examples.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement, presenting findings to the leadership team.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of high-quality mindset by developing and providing training to employees.
  • Track and report on the progress and impact of quality issues throughout manufacturing and materials received by the warehouse department.
  • Supports quality inspections and testing during assembly and packaging process operations per procedures.
  • Supervise and perform HR management of a quality team.

Other tasks :

  • Develop and maintain the quality management system (QMS) in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits from regulatory bodies or customers. Share findings with appropriate teams noting areas of focus for improvement or sustainment.
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes, updating processes and procedures accordingly.
  • Contribute to product enhancements aimed at improving yields and manufacturability and apply proper GMP / ISO test methodologies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Collaborate closely with production, customer services, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of quality initiatives.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on quality-related matters to all departments.
  • Serve as a liaison between the quality department and other functional areas to drive alignment and effective communication.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field or the equivalent in practical experience and specialized training.
  • At least three years of leadership or supervisory experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the door and window industry.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Experience with quality-related software tools and systems.
