Position Purpose
The Strategic Account Executive will play a crucial role in driving the strategic growth and retention of Hometown Health’s Large Group and Self-funded LOBs.
This position will be the face of Hometown Health and will consistently engage in person with influential brokers, employers, and community and government leaders to drive new business growth and retention.
This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, retaining existing strategic groups, building strategic relationships, and executing strategies to expand our market presence and achieve revenue goals.
The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented professional with a strong track record in Large Group and Self-funded health insurance sales, business development, strategic planning, and relationship management.
Nature and Scope
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Planning : Develop and implement a comprehensive business development and new sales and retention strategy aligned with Hometown Health’s growth goals for assigned LOBs.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, trends, and competitive landscapes.
Relationship Building : Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including potential new groups, broker partners, industry influencers and community leaders.
Leverage strategic relationships and alliances to drive new business growth and retention.
Lead Generation and Sales : Oversee lead generation efforts, manage the sales pipeline, and ensure successful closure of new business deals.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and initiatives.
Market Analysis : Conduct thorough market research and analysis to understand customer needs, market demands, and competitive positioning.
Use insights to inform business development strategies and tactics.
- Revenue Growth : Achieve ambitious revenue targets and growth objectives. Monitor and report on business development and new sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet goals.
- Team Leadership : Lead and build high quality relationship with the entire sales & retention team. Foster a high-performance culture and provide guidance and support to ensure the team’s success.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development and new sales initiatives.
- Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports and updates to senior management on business development progress, opportunities, and challenges.
Provide strategic recommendations based on performance data and market trends.

Education :
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred (can substitute 4 years of related experience).
Experience :
Six to ten years (6-10) of health-related sales experience, or 4 years of large group health insurance sales experience
License(s) :
Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Health Resident Producer license within 90 days of hire.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Nevada driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
