In this role, you will ensure that all construction materials and processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and safety of the projects we undertake across the Southeast region.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Quality Monitoring : Conduct regular inspections and tests on construction materials, including soils, concrete, and other materials, to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Documentation and Reporting : Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings, testing results, and any non-conformance issues, providing clear and actionable feedback to project teams.
- Process Improvement : Identify areas for improvement in QA / QC processes, recommending and implementing best practices to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
- Standards Compliance : Ensure that all materials and processes adhere to relevant standards, codes, and regulations, including ASTM, ACI, and other industry standards.
- Collaboration : Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to address quality issues and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Training and Mentorship : Provide guidance and training to junior staff and field technicians on QA / QC procedures and best practices.
- Auditing : Conduct regular audits of field and lab operations to verify compliance with established QA / QC protocols and identify any potential issues before they impact project outcomes.
- Client Communication : Liaise with clients to address any concerns related to quality and ensure their satisfaction with the project deliverables.
The ideal candidate should possess :
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience : Proven experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, ideally within the geotechnical or construction materials testing industry.
- Certifications : Relevant certifications such as ACI (American Concrete Institute), ICC (International Code Council), or NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills : Strong understanding of QA / QC processes, materials testing standards, and compliance requirements.
- Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to identify and rectify quality issues effectively.
- Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise reports and present findings to various stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions to quality issues.
- Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide leadership in quality assurance initiatives.
- Compliance : Ability to pass a background check to work on federal projects.
Schedule :
- Full-time, with field and lab work as required.
- Monday to Friday
