Job Description :
- We are seeking a Research and Development Associate III to join the Antibody and Delivery Technologies unit within Biologics Drug Discovery (BDD) team, contributing to our mission to design, optimize, and develop therapeutics to improve the lives of patients with neurodegenerative diseases.
- In this role, you will work in a lab with a cross-functional team performing experiments where your work will support the development of Client biologics therapeutic approaches to treat CNS and neuromuscular diseases.
- Establish and perform in vivo PK / PD studies for therapeutic proteins, antisense oligonucleotides, viral vectors and other modalities with CNS delivery / targeting properties.
- Perform in vivo immunizations to generate antigen specific antibodies from B cells by next-generation sequencing or hybridoma production.
- Contribute to research efforts on specific projects involving Client BBB targets and other modalities.
- Perform biochemical and molecular biology assays to enable PK / PD analysis of therapeutic candidate drugs, including ELISA / MSD, and qPCR.
- Perform data analysis, maintain electronic laboratory notebooks, and present data.
- BS, MS or Ph.D with 3-5 years of industry experience and skills in in vivo procedures and biochemical / molecular assays.
- Expertise with in vivo procedures, including injections (IV, SC, IP), blood collection and necropsy / tissue collection (brain, spinal cord, muscle and other tissues).
- Ability to establish and perform biochemical and molecular assays, including ELISA / MSD, qPCR, BCA and other relevant techniques.
Technical Information :
- Onsite, M-F, 8am-5pm
- Pay : $45-50 hourly, depending on experience level
- 12-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to permanent
