We’re the Devices & Services Design Group at Amazon. Our team drives design innovation, delivering Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, and more.

We work on the Alexa app, designing on-the-go productivity and entertainment experiences. Together, we’re meeting the future head on through our Devices Human Interface Guidelines and product strategies.

We are looking for a Full Stack Senior UX Designer to drive the definition and design for Alexa's core multimodal experiences across devices, encompassing all new and existing Echo devices, Fire TV, and Alexa Auto experiences.

You will additionally help drive the definition and design of tools that will help our developer partners build experiences for multimodal devices.

In this role, you will collaborate with a team of world-class multi-disciplinary designers to invent and deliver UX frameworks and features that align and extend the Alexa experience across all Echo devices.

You will help share the design system to external developer partners via Amazon developer portal. You will help define the end-to-end developer journey from discovery to engagement to managing content built for our Alexa, Fire, and Auto devices.

You will work alongside research, product, and engineering partners across the organization to build customer-focused solutions at scale.

You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment. You must be able to lead projects forward in the face of complexity and ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with project managers to plan projects for effective delivery while maintaining high standards for design
  • Be a passionate and effective advocate for design with non-design audiences
  • Write effectively to communicate design rationales and benefits to Amazon customers
  • Use analytics and data to drive design decision making to best serve our customers
  • Create and maintain processes for scaling, updating, managing, and evangelizing a design system
