The human resources business partner will support Henderson Building Solutions by promoting, communicating and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives, and providing day to day operational support.

In this role, you would build and maintain influential relationships by being a strategic partner with all levels of management and serving as an advocate for employees.

The human resources business partner is responsible for coordinating and coaching activities related to employee relations, compliance, training, recruiting and compensation and benefits.

Duties :

  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Conducts stay interviews, exit interviews and pulse surveys, and provides feedback and recommendations to HR and sector leadership.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of applicable employment laws. Provides related direction and consults with legal to discuss and resolve issues as needed.
  • Assists with the completion of government-mandated compliance reporting and activities.
  • Identifies needs, then partners with Talent Management to develop and conduct training for sector management and employees.
  • Schedules and monitors various training programs.
  • Keeps others well informed and prioritizes audiences, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Facilitates an efficient, consistent workflow and exchange of information.
  • Encourages experimentation when faced with new challenges.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related field preferred. Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an HRBP or generalist role required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an HRBP or generalist role in the construction industry preferred.
  • HR certification preferred (SHRM / HRCI).
