Software Security Developer

The Mission Accelerator program manages the Boeing Global Services (BGS) digital and analytics Government and military business.

The program consists of a process and a broad portfolio of digital and analytic tools sitting on common cloud-based platforms.

These tools provide BGS customers with a variety of capabilities to help them optimize their programs and maximize their mission success.

Examples of capabilities include, but are not limited to, predictive maintenance solutions, supply chain optimization solutions utilizing advanced demand forecasting, and real-time decision support models to optimize troubleshooting of complex systems.

As part of the Mission Accelerator program, the technical development team applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, integrate, and deploy cutting-edge digital and analytics capabilities, tools, and processes for our customers.

This team defines and controls the technical strategy, executes multiple complex statements of work, and coordinates with a variety of resources required over the life of the project.

This team is defining the future of digital and analytics capabilities with our Boeing Global Services customers to help them achieve their desired objectives.

As part of this program, you’ll work with a wide range of cutting-edge software engineering technologies as well as the latest data science solutions in support of our Government and military customers around the world.

This includes internal development activities as well as partnering with other industry leaders to bring the best of breed solutions to Boeing’s customers.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and must be efficient in working both independently and across dynamic development organizations.

The position will be responsible for designing, developing, unit / integration testing, upgrading, and building software code to provide new functionality and extend / modify existing code;

using object-oriented software methodologies and working with cloud stack technologies. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with project managers, development teams, and customers.

The candidate will engage frequently and work closely with the Mission Accelerator Architecture team and Project Managers.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and deploy modular identity management solutions for multiple cloud-based deployments.
• Perform hands-on Java Development to maintain an identity management solution library with Spring Security Framework.
• Demonstrate a passion for learning and willingness to adopt new technologies or industry best practices.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, ideas, and continuous improvement along with a great attitude, solid communication skills, willingness to learn and collaborate.
• Ensure clear documentation of created / modified functionality.
• You will also be responsible for interfacing and influencing the business lines as well as others across IT teams.

Requirements and Skills

• Experience developing complex applications using Java, Spring Security, KeyCloak, OpenId Connect, OAuth 2.0, and SAML.
• Knowledge and experience in implementing solutions in the cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Willingness to work with the team and other developers across the company to continuously improve our approach to development.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills - the ability to liaise with and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders.
