ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a first-class Senior Account Executive to bring their skills to our impressive roster of B2B and B2C technology clients.
Key strengths for this role include a passion for UK media relations, content creation (storytelling and writing), team coordination and a keen interest in the technology sector.
You should have a can-do attitude, as well as a willingness to learn, contribute and engage with our super friendly team.
Solid agency experience is a must, and ideally, you’d also have some familiarity of working across digital and social.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious comms executive who is looking to stretch their wings and move on to bigger global clients and more integrated campaigns working for an international agency with great ambitions and even greater potential.
You will be reporting into a fantastic Senior Account Manager or Account Director, who will invest time and energy in your personal development and career progression, and joining a talented, collaborative and committed team.

What you'll be doing
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client service
- Day-to-day client engagement answering emails, owning initiatives, leading meetings / calls, providing counsel
- Managing team’s progress on activities
- Supporting with account administration, including updating activity trackers, coverage updates and action recaps
Press office
Working in conjunction with account lead to manage the seamless running of the press office including : Using your established network of trade and national media contacts to spot and secure media opportunities Leading the sell-in of media campaign / news announcements (inc.
preparing media materials)Compiling briefing books and facilitate press meetingsInvestigating / responding to reactive commentary opportunitiesProactive story development Content creation i.
e. press releases, client commentary, articles
Social media
Supporting on the execution of social editorial calendars including : Drafting social copyPulling data from social platforms and tools and conducting analysis
New business
Support for new business opportunities, including prospect research (sourcing and gathering audience, industry or competitor market data), media and social audits and taking part in pitches
Working within the team
- Involvement in the WE Roots peer group (which includes all roles from intern to SAE)
- Mentoring work placements and interns
What you've been able to accomplish
PREVIOUS PROVEN EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience in communications - in an agency setting or within an applicable industry
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong content creations skills blog, press release etc.
- Strong media relations skills inc. established relationships with local UK (and EMEA wide) media and demonstrate ability to proactively place stories
- Shows initiative / proactivity
- Good organisational skills, with strong attention to detail (time management, ability to manage deadlines)
- Interest in the news agenda and wider technology industry
