GHD has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL ! Working with our Engineering Design Organization (EDO) you’ll participate in the planning, design and construction engineering of various types of facilities.
You’ll also assist in the development of master plans, technical reports, design drawings, specifications, cost estimates and preparation of permit submittals.

Working with an energetic and hard-working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in :
- Development of supporting project information (. calculations, analyses, evaluations, cost estimates, report text, figures, drawings,
- Performing construction phase engineering tasks (. submittal review, test data evaluation and compilation,
- Assisting with the development of drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Assisting with the development of specifications
- Assisting with condition assessments and reviews of existing facilities
- Helping to develop preliminary facilities layouts and designs
- Maintaining open communication with project team members and project managers
- Train and mentor entry level engineers
- Ability to act as the lead Designer of Record for the civil engineering discipline on multidiscipline projects
What you will bring to the team :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 7-10 years of experience
- Professional Engineering license in one or more states required
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Knowledge of modeling software for site utilities and infrastructure (. Bentley, Innovyze)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
- Focus on customer service
- Devise approaches to problem resolution
- Ability to be proactive and take ownership of the task involved
- Willingness to travel to job sites to observe construction activities and complete field investigations (about 25% of the time)
