STAFF ACCOUNTANT PAYROLL SPECIALIST
Cambridge Innovation Institute (CII), headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts, is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to assist with or be fully responsible for the following duties :
- Accounts payable
- Expense reimbursements
- General Ledger and bank reconciliations
- Journal entries
- Month-end close
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and disbursements.
- Ensure accuracy in employee timekeeping, deductions, and withholdings.
- Prepare and enter Payroll Journal Entries
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- File and record maintenance
Work location : This position is required to be in our Needham, Massachusetts headquarters office at least one day per week.
Required skills and experience :
- At least three (3) years of mid-level accounting experience, AP / AR, General Ledger, report generation, bookkeeping, end-to-end payroll processing
- Proficiency with financial software (ADP, Peachtree, Sage, Concur, etc.) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.
- Effective communication and customer service skills are essential.
- Must be detail oriented with quick follow through, able to work independently with confidential information, and consistently exercise good judgment in dealing with competing demands and priorities.
- Able to commute to our Needham, Massachusetts office at least one day per week.
- BA or BS degree desirable
