JOB DESCRIPTION
Purolite, an Ecolab company, the world leader in resin-based separation, purification and extraction technology, is seeking a Packer-Cation for our Philadelphia plant location! In this role, you will be responsible performing simultaneously the operation of 5 packaging hoppers.
This includes equipment to dewater, sampling of product weighing and packaging of product to documented procedures.
Responsibilities and Authority :
Consistently follows label reconciliation procedures with a high level of accuracy of label information
Reads night notes accurately to package material in correctpackage and quantity
Responsible to keep production times as to not allow the production plant to get delayed.
Monitors product yields. Works with the shift supervisor to resolve yield inconsistencies
Responsible ensure packages are neat and suitable to ship to customer
Must qualify as a licensed forklift operator
Reports unusual occurrences relating to packing and equipment to the shift supervisor
Consistently follows plant GMP’s
Performs other duties as assigned
Work week and shift : Rotating twelve-hour shifts days, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous mechanical skills or chemical processing experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements :
Must always be safety conscious for self and others. Computer literate with advanced writing skills. Has the ability to initiate tasks and work in an independent manner.
Must be able to communicate with visitors, professional and plant personnel.
Contacts and Relationships :
Interfaces with other department personnel in the corporate office, administration and plant locations as necessary
Requires good communication,interpersonal skills and interacts well with external customers, visitors, employees and management in other departments
Working Conditions :
Position operates in an environment in which there may be temperature extremes and exposure to weather, excessive noise and vibrations, moving mechanical parts, electric shock,hazardous chemicals, gases, odors, hot liquids or equipment.
May work in high, low or confined spaces.
Physical Requirements :
Position requires lifting / pushing / carrying up to 50 pounds chest high.
Equipment use : Extensive computer use, frequent use of lab equipment, forklift, and other machinery and tools
