- Receptionist
- Full time hourly, non-exempt position
- Reports to : Director of Operations
- Location : Kansas City, MO
- Purpose
- To meet and greet visitors as they come into the building, answer calls through the main company line and direct them to the correct person or area, assist Logistics in checking vehicles in and out as necessary, manage office and facility supplies, filing, prep meeting spaces, and take notes in departmental meetings.
- Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Answer phones and greet guests in a kind and professional manner
- Direct guests and phone calls to proper person or area and take messages when not possible
- File completed orders, check out sheets, bills, deposit slips, etc
- Work with Logistics to Check in vehicles when delivered
- Check out vehicles when being picked up
- Track vehicle Check Outs and work with Logistics to keep systems current and up to date
- Take and distribute notes from departmental meetings
- Responsible for ensuring standard office and facility supplies are stocked
- Stock Break room and Bathroom machines, devices, and supplies
- Use system to electronically verify vehicles and to check them in and out of systems
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Match orders with checkout sheets
- Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Assist Accounting in matching bills, receipts, etc for proper filing
- Maintain the orderly and clean office areas in between cleaning service schedule
- Care for plants
- Assist management as needed

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach and lift with hands and arms.
- The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- The employee must be able to see proficiently enough to safely drive vehicles.
- The employee must be able to hear proficiently enough to understand and verbally communicate via phone calls and face to face.
- Desirable Qualifications
- Past experience as a receptionist or office clerk
- Good note taker
- Past experience with Google suite, Microsoft Suite, printing, and scanning
- Strong initiative

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures. Ability to write notes and complete business reports in system and on files.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from coworkers
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is limited standardization.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule forms.

- The noise level is moderate, with intermittent high levels of noise when in the Shop
- Many primary duties are carried out are mostly inside a office setting and occasionally a outside setting with outside environmental conditions
- Many primary duties will require being near the front entrance of the building and exposed to those environmental conditions intermittently.
Monday through Friday 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm
40 hours per week
