Colonial Terminals began operations in 1934 with the construction of a 21-acre, deep-water terminal located on the Savannah River to serve the burgeoning import and export, petroleum storage market.

Today, Colonial Terminals owns and operates the largest, independent, liquid and dry bulk storage facilities with breakbulk capability in the Southeastern United States.

POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Support Services reports to the VP of Operations and is responsiblewill oversee the maintenance, electrical and instrumentation, and purchasing departments across our seven intermodal bulk terminal facilities.

This role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and cost-effective management of resources. JOB EXPECTATIONS / DUTIES Develops and implements strategies for the maintenance and repair of all terminal equipment and infrastructure.

Leads the electrical and instrumentation department, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally and in compliance with industry standards.

Manages the purchasing department, overseeing procurement processes and supply chain management to ensure timely availability of necessary materials.

Coordinates with facility managers to align support services with operational needs. Establishes and monitors performance metrics for maintenance, electrical and instrumentation, and purchasing departments.

Ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Manages budgets, control costs, and delivers financial reports to senior management.

Leads, mentors, and develops a diverse team of professionals across multiple locations. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Recommends and advocates for changes in strategic and tactical approaches to include identifying opportunities, anticipating challenges, and leading change as required.

Demonstrates excellent communication skills and prioritizes both communications with the front lines and with company leadership.

Maintains open communication and partnership with company leadership. Ensures a positive culture and valuable team engagement levels.

Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

html - 7 years of experience in maintenance management, electrical engineering, or procurement roles; preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams across multiple sites. - Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems, electrical systems, instrumentation, procurement processes and related regulatory requirements.

html - Excellent communication skills; both oral and written. - Excellent personal and people leadership. - Problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Proficient in computing systems and skills including Microsoft programs Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams. - Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions : Heat, Cold, Wind, and Rain.
