We are looking for a highly motivated, hardworking FOH manager to help us lead an amazing team of people.
The Maple is an independently owned neighborhood pub in a quaint 100 year old house. Our mission is to serve our community good food and good drink in a cozy, welcoming environment.
In addition to our indoor seating we offer a relaxed atmosphere out in the Beer Garden. We take pride in and are known for our creative cocktail program that changes seasonally.
We are in our 7th year of operation and have become a solid community hangout. We're also home to The Banana Stand, a to-go cocktail window with creative frozen cocktails in the summer and a variety of hot beverages in the winter.
We are looking for a motivated manager to take on FOH and Bar management duties. We take pride in fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment, where everyone pitches in and everyone is valued.
You should have the ability to lead by example and maintain a collaborative working relationship with all team members to foster and promote pride and ownership in the work of every employee.
You should have an eye for detail, excellent listening and communication skills, and be motivated to cultivate a supportive and fun working environment.
Managing the FOH staff ( 10 people), their schedules and performance will be part of your daily duties.
You will be expected to ensure overall smooth operation of the floor during service. The position includes at least 2 bartending shifts, as well as filling in wherever needed during a shift, including bartending, food running and hosting.
We strive to ensure all of our staff has a good work / life balance. This position is hourly, with a typical work week of 32-40 hours.
Your duties will include :
- Developing & maintaining bar program (Including beer, wine and cocktail programs)
- Managing FOH Staff
- Scheduling & training new hires
- Inventory and ordering management
- Cost control and budgeting for bar
- Developing and maintaining SOPs for FOH service
- Ensuring opening and closing duties consistently followed
- Update menus & POS
- Develop staff knowledge on beer, wine & cocktails
- Hiring and disciplinary actions
- Continuously strive to promote a favorable image of the restaurant and its high standards
- Ongoing development of restaurant operations and uphold restaurant vision
- Guest relations, table touches and cultivating relationships with customers into regulars and community involvement
Qualifications :
- 1 year management
- 2 years bartending
- Experience developing bar programs and cocktail lists
