Overview

Join AIR as a Project Associate with our Health team. Our Health team works collaboratively to unravel the intertwined challenges of health care quality, costs, and access.

Our team of experts - nurses, physicians, psychologists, economists, sociologists, data scientists, and public health experts - advance evidence and save lives by leading rigorous research and evaluation;

results-driven technical assistance and training; and leading-edge data science and technology tools.

Our team of experts focus on promoting evidence-based care for a range of clinical conditions; engaging patient, family, and communities to identify and address inequities and barriers to health care for groups who have been historically excluded and marginalized;

improving patient safety; and establishing measures for evaluating the quality of care. We also translate research evidence to promote understanding and adoption of best practices by patients, families, caregivers, physicians, nurses, insurers, health systems leaders, and policymakers.

Candidates hired for the position may work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of our U.S. office locations.

This does not include U.S. territories.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the position include :

  • Create and monitor project work plans in the space of Federal contracting health services research, which includes agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) among others.
  • Create and monitor budget estimates, scopes, schedules for requirements definition, design, development, QA and implementation.
  • Establish quality and performance standards, review work products to ensure quality and consistency of content.
  • Assign and monitor resources to optimally utilize project resources and maximize deliverables.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and client stakeholders, serving as a point of contact on project status.
  • Manage the change request process, process budget modification requests with client.
  • Support business development activities by creating proposal budgets, budget narratives, coordinating activities for proposal and grants.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external team members to resolve issues.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant project management experience OR a Master's degree.
  • Experience working on government contracts.
  • Knowledge of contract types, federal contract vehicles, handling DUAs, government access applications.
  • Experience managing healthcare projects related to Federal Agencies preferred, but not required.
  • Professional certification, such as PMP, is a plus but not required.

Skills :

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to collaborate in a virtual work environment with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite or the equivalent (word processing, spreadsheets, email and calendar management, presentation software).
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile and Waterfall environment.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-moving and high-stakes environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities if needed.

This position offers an anticipated annual salary of $70,000-78,000. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets.

Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.
