Job description Infosys - Legal - Senior Corporate Counsel Employment LawIn the Senior Corporate Counsel Employment Law position, you would be an integral part of the Employment Law Team and provide daily counsel to human resources and business units on substantive legal areas including recruiting, hiring, employee relations, discipline and terminations, leave of absence management, and compliance and benefits.
You would also be working closely with internal clients on all aspects of employment law and HR issues to support their legal needs in the Americas, primarily in the USA, but also jurisdictions such as Canada, Brazil, and Mexico.
You would also manage external counsel in litigation and administrative agency matters. Other areas of responsibility would include advising on employment-related provisions in contracts and acquisitions, primary legal point of contact for critical HR initiatives, reviewing and revising internal policies and corporate communications, and joining the Americas Employment Law Team in training initiatives.
This role will report to the Assistant General Counsel, Americas Employment Law Head. Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply.

Qualifications : Basic : 10 years of employment law experience in a law firm and / or in-house positionStrong experience with employment law and practices in various jurisdictions across the United States and advising on cross-jurisdictional solutions.
Experience with various types of employment-related litigation, arbitration, and administrative matters, including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, wage and hour, and multi-plaintiff / class action matters.
Demonstrated effective written communication skills.Desire to train and coach stakeholders at every opportunity in day-to-day interactions.
Commitment to teamwork and a collaborative work environment, and dedication to working across cultures. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively within a globally geographically distributed team and fast-paced, highly matrixed business environment.
Demonstrated ability to think and decide quickly, and to communicate legal issues and solutions clearly and concisely.Compliance project management experience and navigating multiple stakeholders’ expectations.
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to practice law in at least one state in the United states and eligible to practice as in-house counsel.
Preferred : Exposure to international employment law practices and laws a plus.Mix of both law firm and in-house experience.
Interest in legal operations and process improvement. Experience in reviewing employment-related commercial contracts provisions.
