Summary

Establishes and maintains effective quality management and customer technical support systems for the Company. Assures that products meet regulatory and legal requirements.

Establishes and executes Company strategy and tactics related to these systems.

Position Duties

Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to :

• Establishes and maintains documented systems, strategies, and tactics related to global achievement of the Quality Management Processes.
• Leads personnel in the Quality functions.
• Assures that product related legal and regulatory requirements are met.
• Provides technical oversight, leadership, and guidance to Product Teams including technical support to manufacturing and sales for continuous improvement processes and product quality.
• Assures that product measurement systems meet customer requirements.
• Acts as Company Quality Management Representative for all segments of quality control involving regulatory and customer audits, AS9100 and other certification compliance.
• Develops internal audit schedules, provides auditor training and ensures all audits are completed per AS9100 requirements.
• Establishes and manages global customer service specifically as it relates to complaint handling system for product users.
• Responsible with the authority to define, implement and measure the effectiveness of the quality system according to established procedures.
• Reports on the Effectiveness of the Quality System to senior management.
• Develops and implements policies, and inspection procedures where required.
• Development of techniques and procedures for inspecting and testing company products and for conducting research on product defects in order to recommend modifications in products and / or quality standards on the basis of this research and analysis of customer complaints.
• Must have good oral, written communications and have a high level of moral and ethical codes.

Qualifications :

Education, Experience and Skills :

BS degree in a related discipline such as Industrial Engineering. 10+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment and / or training;

or equivalent combination of education.

Must have good oral & written communication skills and have a high level of moral and ethical codes. Proven skills in organization, managing people, mentoring, and teamwork is a must.

Must also have a strong technical background with a proven track-record of problem solving and support of new product development.

Strong analytical ability, excellent verbal / written communications skills, ability to handle / manage multiply tasks, proficiency in MS Office applications;

statistical methodology; AS9100 compliance and annual re-certification processes / procedures as well as quality problem solving methods and techniques.

Requires leadership experience in applying Total Quality theories and methods.

Requires experience in designing, documenting, and managing quality systems.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.

The employee frequently is required to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.
