Have the ability to be physically and mentally present for the children. Are proactive problem-solvers, care for the environment, and build r elationships.
Have keen awareness and observation skills. Communicate articulately, respectfully, and constructively. Establish and enforce rules and boundaries of behavior for children in their classrooms.
We have a very structured classroom environment. Able to maintain professional standards with children, colleagues, and parents.
Will learn and utilize the Montessori method to guide children, use resources, and explore during learning and play activities.
Position Expectations : Monday-Friday as needed. Willingness to fill-in on scheduled days off for staff. Ability to be on your feet.
Ability to lift and move. Ability to conduct chores apart from childcare (cleaning, etc.) Willingness to engage with young children and other staff members.
Will discuss ages and areas you feel comfortable substituting for. Requirements : Ages 18 or older High School Diploma or GED Experience with children (preferred but not required) Salary : $14 per hour PLEASE NOTE : Applicants who are offered employment will be required to pass a post-offer pre-employment background process that includes passing a Basic TB and fingerprint test and completing an online training program.
Applicants who do not pass or participate in any of this pre-employment process will have their offer of employment rescinded.
