Johnson Service Group is a Tier 1 vendor for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and we are recruiting for an experienced, Demolition Safety Supervisor , for a 4-6 month contract assignment.
This position will serve as the safety oversight supervisor for decommissioning, demolition, and site restoration activities at the Gallatin Steam Plant in Gallatin, TN 37066.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- W2 Pay Rate : Up to $76.00 / hour (time and a half for overtime)
- Target Start Date : 10 / 21 / 24
- Duration : 4-6 months
- Schedule : Anticipated 60 hours per week
Responsibilities :
- MANAGES SAFETY ORGANIZATION AND DEVELOPS THE LONG-TERM STRATEGIC GOALS AND DIRECTION OF CORPORATE SAFETY.
- PROVIDE A FRAMEWORK OF POLICIES, PROCEDURES, AND PROCESSES FOR CONSTRUCTION SAFETY MANAGEMENT.
- ENSURES ACCOUNTABILITY STANDARDIZATION AND OPERATING INDUSTRY BEST PERFORMANCE.
- MONITORS AND EVALUATES CONTRACTOR SAFETY PROGRAMS INCLUDING OCIP COST.
- LEAD BEHAVIOR-CENTERED SAFETY, OVERSEE INCIDENT REPORTING, AND INVESTIGATIONS.
- PROVIDE MONITORING OF SAFETY PROGRAMS AND PREPARE CORPORATE SAFETY DATA REPORTS.
- ADVISE SENIOR MANAGEMENT OF SAFETY CULTURE / CONDITIONS.
- SUPPORT LEADERS WITH ALIGNMENT TOWARD AN INCIDENT-FREE SAFETY CULTURE.
- DEVELOPS SAFETY LEADERSHIP IN TVA AND CONTRACT FIELD SAFETY PROFESSIONALS.
- SUPPORT FIELD SAFETY PROFESSIONALS BY PROVIDING CENTRAL COORDINATION POINT AND OUTLET FOR ESCALATION OF SITE SAFETY CONCERNS / CONDITIONS.
- SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SAFETY PLANS, AND JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSAS) THAT MATCH THE RISK AND NEEDS / REQUIREMENTS OF THE OPERATIONS AND CORPORATE SAFETY POLICY.
- RECOMMEND IMPROVEMENTS TO TVA SAFETY ON HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
