The Material Handler Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Material Handlers within the Internal Logistics department.

This role involves coordinating team activities, ensuring efficient material flow, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities :

• Team Leadership :
• Manage and lead a team of Material Handlers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring effective communication.
• Monitor team performance, identify training needs, and implement development plans.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Material Movement :
• Oversee the efficient movement of materials between workstations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Coordinate the pulling, staging, and delivery of materials to production lines.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage rework and scrap materials.
• Safety Compliance :
• Ensure that all team members adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections and provide training on safety practices.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, implement corrective actions, and promote a culture of safety.
• Productivity and Efficiency :
• Develop and implement actions to improve team productivity and efficiency.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the material flow process.
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred, but not required.
• Forklift certification required.
• Knowledge of scanners and Rittal product is beneficial.
• General computer knowledge is also beneficial.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, with at least Number years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills :

• Proficiency in warehouse management systems.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
