Bilingual Youth Worker Responsibilities :
- Caring for refugee children while providing a safe and secure setting, maintaining line of sight with children at all times.
- Schedules, organizes, encourages and participates in various kinds of games and activities in accordance with the therapeutic planning for the individual child and the other members of the community
- Maintains that the Cottage is clean and orderly and assists residents with performing chores that correspond with this objective
- Helping the children adjust to their new environment. Utilizes a variety of counseling techniques including : listening, giving information, reassurance, as well as support
Requirements :
- Bilingual, English & Spanish
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Available to work evenings, overnights, and weekends
