POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Moss' Solar SCADA, Cybersecurity, Performance Testing SME Technician will be responsible for overseeing both internal and external consultant engineering services as it relates to SCADA designs for our Utility Scale Solar projects.
The SCADA SME is a subject matter expert role supporting estimating, engineering management and operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidate will lead the SCADA effort for automation and cybersecurity systems to increase the safety, throughput, quality, and reliability of our processes in support of our clients and internal business partners.
- Manage technical QA / QC conceptual SCADA system design for proposed projects from our engineer of records through our engineering management team
- Work with Engineering management team to develop QA / QC checklists and drawing review process
- Assist in the review engineering and capital cost estimates for assigned projects to support Estimating and Early Stage teams
- Assist in review of Client SCADA scope of work documents and exhibits to determine feasibility and whether the requested work was included in basis of bid documents
- Coordinate and review design documentation provided by EOR is sufficient for construction and meets all contractual obligations
- Provide procurement support to ensure Moss provided equipment is sufficient for construction and meets all contractual obligations
- Develop, Own and Maintain Moss recommend implementation SCADA and Cybersecurity standards and guidelines for turnkey EPC projects
- Advise Moss on CIP / cybersecurity requirements and best practices
- Develop and Manage implementation of new standards and new technology into Moss standard best practices
- Provide internal SCADA training as required
- Work with SME team to develop cross functional impacts of SCADA design
- Perform in house ASTM2848 Standard compliant Capacity Testing, or collaborate with owner’s engineering to review and sign off
- Perform in house 8760 Modeling
- Review third party Pvsyst / 8760 Models for validity
QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES FOR POSITION
- 2-5 years experience with SCADA control systems preferably in Solar generating plants
- Experience in Solar Control Systems (PLCs, motor controls, temperature, etc)
- Experience in Automation or Process Control (PLC programming, AC & DC motor control experience, Process Control Networking, HMI / SCADA Maintenance and Design)
- Experience in Control System documentation using MS Office and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with ASTM 2848 standard and PV Capacity Testing
- Some Travel 25% required
