The Providence Public School District (PPSD) is committed to supporting, developing, and enriching the lives of all children through world-class teaching in a culturally and linguistically diverse district.
We serve approximately 22,000 students across 37 schools. The Senior Human Resources (HR) Staffing Partner will lead efforts to oversee / manage staffing to ensure the needs of the district’s students and schools are met.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Recruitment & Staffing, the Senior Human Resources Staffing Partner will work in collaboration with (2) other Senior Human Resources Staffing Partners to oversee a team responsible for supporting and building the capacity of principals and other hiring managers to ensure they are adequately prepared for handling all of the human resources needs within their schools and departments.
While all Senior Human Resources Staffing Partners will operate under the same goals, strategies, and processes to ensure district-wide alignment in HR management, each team will oversee a specific subset of schools and / or departments.
Each team will serve as a single point of contact for principals and hiring managers in support of their recruitment, hiring, staffing, and retention efforts and will manage the staffing function for both instructional and non-instructional employee groups.
The Senior Human Resources Partner will primarily focus on high-level, strategic, and complex tasks, such as developing and communicating policy and long-term talent decisions, ensuring a high-level of customer service from the team, setting goals and benchmarks with the team, and contributing positively to overall office and team culture.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in urban school district, with a specific focus on human capital.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing innovative talent management strategies.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve goals.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Experience working with diverse communities and a commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Bilingual candidates preferred.
