Who We Serve

Pacific Clinics serves children, transitional-age youth, families, adults, and older adults. We offer a full range of mental and behavioral health services, foster care and social services, housing, continuing adult education and early childhood education programs to Medi-Cal-eligible individuals and families throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Orange, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano, Stanislaus, Stockton, Tulare and Ventura Counties.

Compensation We Offer

  • The initial compensation for this position ranges from $28.48 - $37.16 per hour.
  • Salary is dependent on commensurate experience above the minimum qualifications for the role and internal equity considerations.
  • The salary may also vary if you reside in a different location than the location posted.
  • 5% Bilingual Differential for qualified positions*

About our Program : TBS : Supports children and youth up to 21 who are at risk to move to a higher level of care and / or be hospitalized because of their behavioral issues or to support a transition to a lower level of care.

Multiple hours of treatment per week can be provided as needed to stabilize targeted behaviors. This treatment is a coaching model that always includes the caregiver.

JOB SUMMARY

Works within the vision, mission and philosophy of the agency. Under direct supervision develops and implements positive behavior supports and intervention strategies to address significant behavioral problems for youth and their families / caregivers in a variety of environments.

Works collaboratively with others on the clinical team to support creation and implementation of stabilization and service plans.

Works independently with youth and or families in a variety of settings including homes, community, and or treatment settings.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Provides direct services to youth and families.
  • Assists teams in developing a hypothesis of function and underlying unmet needs in an effort to develop individualized, strength-based strategies and interventions that will result in positive behavior change.
  • Develop intervention plans that support the decrease in behaviors while incorporating strengths into skill development plans, a timeline regarding implementation and transition of plans to the youth and family, as well as both proactive and reactive strategies that can be used before, after, and during escalating incidents.
  • Understands and engages in therapeutic opportunities in crisis situations and provides corrective experiences in times of crisis.
  • Offers constructive feedback and creative suggestions in the use of non-aversive approaches to behavior change to all members of the team.
  • Models, trains, and practices with the child, family, and natural supports behavioral interventions and skill development plans.
  • Provides positive demonstration of professional behavior in all aspects of his / her role, maintaining positive relations with customers and modeling the value of these relationships internally and externally.
  • Attends and participates in weekly supervision, weekly staff meetings, in-service training and treatment team meetings.
  • Actively participates in continuous quality improvement processes and projects.
  • Performs other responsibilities, as assigned, to support department and business needs.
  • Coordinate with a Behavioral Analyst to complete a Functional Analysis Report.
  • Gather relevant behavioral Information to develop treatment goals.
  • Conduct behavioral observations and interviews.
  • Develop and monitor intervention plans.
  • Train, role model and practice interventions with the Interdisciplinary team.
  • Document interactions, practices and results and maintain administrative expectations in a timely manner.
  • Develop and coordinate specific projects as assigned.
  • Document Other duties as assigned and communicate changes in client plans and intervention strategies to all interdisciplinary team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Arts / Science (B.A. / B.S.), preferred course of study in a human service field.
  • One (1) year experience working with children who have serious emotional disabilities and their families.

  • Ability to enlist the help and investment of individuals and community resources to meet the needs of program families.
