Brief Job Description of main duties : Working in a Mail Services on campus which could include various types of administrative support, retail mail and package services, mail sorting and delivery, site organization and basic cleaning.
This will largely depend on the candidate and how quickly they pick-up different activities.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications) Typically Required : - Requires high school diploma, GED and 1 2 years of experience or equivalent experience in a related field.
Some related copy job experience is preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Excellent customer service skills - Good PC skills - Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize - Mathematical and filing skills - Ability to use office machines and technical equipment WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Typically, an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level - Work assignments are diversified.
Interpret, comprehend and apply complex material, data and instruction prepare, provide and convey diversified information - Some physical effort is required which may involve long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing or similar activities as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 50-55 lbs.
and in pushing or pulling machines on wheels, which may weigh up to 700 lbs., in order to move for repairs. Walking between buildings may be necessary.
Moderate dexterity regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye / hand coordination.
Seeking a Senior On-Site Services Specialist to manage shipping and receiving of products and supplies, operate high-volume mail management systems, and support customer service in a retail mail / shipping environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming / outgoing mail and packages, including sorting and distributing.
- Operate MS Office and email systems; manage document files and protocols.
- Maintain records for reports and supply inventories; calculate job charges.
- Deliver mail / packages to designated locations; answer customer inquiries.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties; operate duplicating equipment.
- Conduct occasional cleaning and filing duties, including document archiving.
Requirements
- Strong presentation and telephone skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and email systems.
- Ability to manage documents and maintain records.
- Customer service experience in a retail environment preferred.
- Must be organized and detail-oriented.
