The Community Relations Director is responsible for assisting in developing all marketing, public and community outreach programs, developing a growing base of referral sources and promoting assisted living programs provided by the community for the purpose of achieving monthly occupancy goals.
Coordinate outreach efforts to create awareness of the community. To also provide an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
Job Functions :
- Provide an activities program on a daily basis including evenings and weekends.
- Plan and create a monthly activities calendar.
- Provide a plan of activities appropriate to the needs of each resident that includes, but not limited to :
- Group Social Events
- Indoor and outdoor activities
- Activities away from the facility
- Spiritual programs and attendance at houses of worship
- Opportunity for resident involvement in planning and implementation of the activities program
- Creative activities such as arts, crafts, music, drama, educational programs
- Exercise activities
- One to one attention
- Promotion of activities and interactions with Children’s Academy of Newnan
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers when appropriate.
- Assess residents’ needs and develop resident activity goals.
- Encourage resident participation in activities.
- Obtain necessary equipment and supplies for activities.
- Participate with the Executive Director in developing a budget.
- Foster family and community support of the activities program (through newsletters, networking, activities which bring family members or members of the community into Beehive Homes of Stockbridge).
- Identify and build an effective network of community and professional sources for potential resident referrals and establish relationships that ensure continuing opportunities for the community.
- Plan promotional, educational and other external events to create awareness about the community.
- Effectively track each prospect from the initial inquiry through the final decision.
- Answer telephone inquiries, schedule visits, conduct tours and close sales or follow-up on previous sales presentations.
- Participate in development of effective sales and marketing plans.
- Participate in new resident orientation and welcoming programs.
- Support a positive and professional image through actions and dress.
- Provide daily coaching and support to team.
- Maintain up-to-date accurate mailing lists and other marketing files.
- Ensure that census is on or above budget on a continual basis.
- Monitor and manage the marketing budget on a continual basis.
- Work with the Executive Director to establish a creative marketing and advertising plan for the community.
- Ensure model apartments are well maintained at all times.
Requirements :
- Successful sales experience in presenting, qualifying and closing.
- Understands a wide variety of issues that senior adults and their families deal with in this type of move.
- Well versed in the healthcare issues of senior adults.
- Enjoys interacting with seniors, is outgoing and positive.
- Computer literate.
- Management experience preferred.
- College Degree preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
